hummingbird feeders

Hummingbirds are tiny creatures with long thin beaks. These creatures can hover in mid-air by rapidly flapping their wings. Depending on the species, the wings flap between 15-80 times per second. These are the only birds that can fly backwards. The English name was derived from the sound of humming made by their wings when they fly.

Attract hummingbirds to your garden by putting up several hummingbird feeders. The best ones are those that are sturdy, easy to clean, and hang with minimum number of parts. Although glass is long-lasting, it is heavy and breakable when dropped. Feeders with plastic reservoirs are more affordable but they tend to lose color with age. Don’t forget that if you start feeding them they will become dependent on that food supply. You must continue a regular feeding schedule, or the birds may die.
