Wooden bird feeders should be made of weather-resistant cedars and should be protected against moisture. If it is made of plastic, metal should reinforce it to discourage squirrels. They should be cleaned easily and durability should be of top consideration to ensure longevity of use. There are three basic types of bird feeders namely: hopper, tube and platform.
