A finch can make its home in birdhouses or on platforms. This bird is one of the most favored backyard creatures by homeowners. Nowadays, you will not only see finch houses in the countryside areas but also in towns and cities. Finch bird houses should be predator and competitor-proof. An ideal finch house should have a diameter entrance hole measuring 1 1/2″. Bigger than that and they might be threatened by house sparrows.
It must be assembled using corrosion-resistant screws. A hinged roof is recommended for easy access and cleaning but should be secured with shutter hooks. It is best to hang the finch birdhouse on a post in the middle of a yard.
