Solar garden lighting

Solar garden lights are a great way to help ensure that your garden, walkway, patios, decks and more stay well lit even after dark. I walked by my miniscule garden one night and found that where a solar light used to light up the pathway, it was dark. What was wrong? Solar garden lighting conked out? Does that happen? Not when the sun was blazing hot during the day. Aren’t solar lights supposed to light on and on?

I had an educational session regarding solar lighting that night. It turns out solar batteries do conk out, but it takes a long time. In my case it must have been over two years since the lights were installed. Changing the battery on the solar light will bring it back to light (er, life). Be careful though that you get the proper battery replacement. Check the manual or bring the old battery when you go out to the store.
