Some Pot Holders Are Not Practical But Are Pretty

There are things that are very functional in the home that eventually turn into decorative pieces as well. Vases, for example, are meant to contain flowers or knick knacks; they are also being used as decorative items by themselves. Pot holders and kitchen towels are supposed to be useful in the kitchen. The still are, except that they now come in all sorts of colors and designs that they are now indispensable as decorative pieces in the kitchen. Don’t we all love to go through store displays and come home with yet another pot holder with a matching dish towel?

Pot holders are examples of things that I only need a couple of but keep loads of in my drawers. I just can’t resist picking up a piece of cushiony, quilted fabric in a fancy color. One with a cherry appliqué will definitely get into my cart. Recently, there has been a new product added to my loot. Silicone kitchen products are my new infatuation. This includes pot holders that double as counter hot pot liners and a red hot puppet mitt that is not very practical but which I find very pretty.
