Not everybody is artistically gifted. We all know that artists are generally the most creative people in the world. However unfortunately there are very few gifted artists in the world. I am one of those people who wish I had at least one artistic bone in my body. I can’t even figure out let alone appreciate those abstract paintings. One type of art which I do appreciate and understand is architecture. My architect father exposed me to countless architecture from grand churches to decorative stepping stones in landscaped gardens.
As a child, I enjoyed decorative stepping stones the most. I enjoyed looking at them, touching them and stepping on them. Decorative stepping stones are used in specially designed gardens. Usually a landscape architect does the design and chooses the stones. However if a home owner cannot afford the services of a landscape architect, a talented gardener will do.
