solar panels for homes

My sister in law is part of a family of architects. One of her uncle is a distributor of solar panels for homes. When my sister in law built their house her uncle offered to give and install solar panels for free. I was so excited for her. I wish I had an uncle like that. They said it would save them so much in electricity.
According to her, solar panels for homes are relatively cheap. I remember about five years ago my parents inquire about solar panels and it cost an arm and a leg plus another arm. Now it just cost about an arm. Based on our energy consumption rate, we’ll get back our investment in less than seven years. That’s assuming I don’t break any panels.
